Occlusal (night) Guards
For patients who experience clenching and grinding wear on their teeth, that results in headaches, periodontal changes and early MPD symptoms, a customized acrylic appliance called and occlusal (night) guard may be recommended. By wearing this appliance nightly, wear on teeth, muscle straining and the resulting changes can be largely minimized.
